G sent me this audio file earlier today, and it is THE ABSOLUTE CUTEST and FUNNIEST thing ever! At least to us. :)
It took me forever to figure out how to get it from my phone to here... 3 hours later here were are. Enjoy!
And remember...Andy is just 9 weeks! He amazes us so much everyday.

8 Weeks
Andy turned 8 weeks on Sunday. He is smiling at G in the picture. Here are the latest and greatest:
- He knows G and I. We are the only people he will instantaneously smile to at first sight. G is loving this as Andy gives him a huge grin when he gets home from work.
- Size 1 diapers are becoming increasingly tight. I wonder how much he weighs since size 1 should fit up to 12lbs. I've also used some size 1-2 diapers (got a box at our baby shower) and although those should work up to 14lbs they aren't much better.
- Speaking of growing - he is currently fitting perfectly in size 0-3 clothes. I don't think he'll make it another month in this size. I'm already preparing the 3-6 clothes. Size 3 from Carters fits good right now with a bit of room to grow.
- He's eating 5oz at least 1 feeding a day.
- We had a few nights where Andy skipped a night feeding sleeping from 9pm-3am. It was great (and would've been greater if we went to bed before midnight) but its been 4 days since he last did that. So yeah. Lately, he must be going thru a growth spurt because he is eating every 2 hours. That sucks at night.
- The cold I gave him is still lingering. He has developed a mild cough and is still pretty congested. He sleeps longer when propped up on the boppy or a pillow on the couch with us. He doesn't sleep more than 30 min in the bouncer so I don't even try that. The cutest thing - he use to get so mad when I put the saline drops down his nose, but now he fights it for a few seconds, notices he can breath easier, and then smiles at me. I love it. He's such a smart guy! He even smiles after I suction out his boogers. :)
- He also has more controlled movements of his arms. When his nose is stuffed up he puts his little fists up to his nose in an attempt to rub it. Cute and sad at the same time.
2 month mark is just around the corner! Time flies, indeed.

Smiles
7 weeks today and Andres is all smiles. Well almost all smiles. My favorite thing is he'll be sad and almost crying, but he'll see me smile and smile right back. I love it! He changes so much suddenly. Today he has been copying facial expressions (when he's happy). It's so cute when he wakes up and I change my facial expressions from happy to surprised and sad and he does too.
He is also learning to cry like a normal baby. I've mentioned before he isn't a crier and hardly cries. He just kind of let's out a shriek. Sorta sounds like a cat. But now he totally cries. It's cute. Maybe because it's new.
It has been a while since I last posted. We've just been busy enjoying our time together before I return to work in early October. I seriously wish I could be a stay at home mom! I would love it! I can stay at home unlike most women that need a job. I so don't. I want to be with this baby all the time. It's gonna suck when I go back to my boring ass job. I'm gonna see what G feels every day when he has to leave us. :-( Enough sad thoughts.

1 Month Appt Update
Andres continues to grow strong, as is evident by his almost 4lb weight gain since birth!
Weight: 9lbs 14.5oz
Height: 21.5in
Head measured good. I think it was a little on the bigger end. And I think the doc said he is a little on the shorter side. Other than that he is perfect!
After our appt we headed to the Santa Anita mall since we were right there. Like a minute away. I figured I could use the exercise and the retail therapy. The best part was spending around $200 and not paying a dime! I puffy heart giftcards. Saved for times like these...when money is tight. I bought Andy some clothes and a stuffed monkey at Macy's. I bought G 2 shirts at Macy's and one at AE. I then bought my refill of the Stella perfume (my fav!) at Sephora along with a lip brush and some blotting sheets. Good times. Oh I did spend some money...on my iced latte and the $1.01 at AE.
And how was Andy at the mall? Well that's him at the mall in the picture above! He slept the whole time! And we were there for about 2hrs. Woke up once and ate 1oz and then passed out again. I'm so happy he loves being in his carseat and stroller.
It is so great to be out and about again. I was so scared to go out with him by myself. It just seemed so daunting! I was totally holding out. So on saturday I decided to spend the day with my sister at my parents house since G was working till 8pm. I did have G help us out to the car, but then later that day Andy and I went to Target; just the two of us. It was great! I don't know why I was so scared! So today I felt totally brave taking him to his appt and then heading to the mall. Watch out G! I've been cut loose! Let the fun part of this maternity leave begin! :)
