Contractions?

It's just before 5am and I've been very crampy since just before 3am. Just after 4am the crampiness actually became contractions...irregular but noticeable.

Yesterday, I was at a b-day pool party and I started getting very irregular contraction around 6pm. Thought nothing of it till about 7:30 when it was still happening. Nothing painful but I felt it from my back to my lower belly. And also in my butt hole like I had to go #2. My cousin the postpartum RN was all excited telling me it sounded like real contractions. Around 8pm I started chugging water in case I was just dehydrated. Got home about 9ish and it all seemed to go away. Chalked it up to dehydration.

After getting up to pee 3 times before 3am [has never happened!] I became crampy just before 3am. Just felt like period cramps so I wasn't sure what was going on. The suddenly around 3:45am I had a painful one, but then I totally had to take a dump. LOL. I ended up taking my first middle of the night dump! Weird. Is my body preparing for something? I don't know but now I'm wide awake and trying to time myy irregular contractions on this website.

G just left to work during my dump and he was all worried and nervous.

I've been up for a while so I just had some lucky charms. Really wanted a PB&J sandwhich but our bread was starting to mold. :(

Also, Baby G is moving a lot. So maybe he isn't quite descending into the birth canal just yet.

Don't some women have mild contraction FOREVER before going into labor? Maybe these are just the "practice" ones? I don't know, but being at this point is crazy! I mean...I'm finally here!

Watch me still be over due in 2 weeks. LOL

To be continued...

24 weeks

I can't believe we only have like 3 months left! Time is flying by! And we still have so much to do, but I know it'll get done.

I think this little guy did some major shifting yesterday because I am now feeling what I believe to be are kicks [since he was head down at our last ultrasound] at the top of my tummy. Yesterday, G and I were sitting in church and I felt the strongest kick so far. I had G put his hand and the baby immediately kicked again. It was crazy! G was floored. He has only felt very soft and mild movements very low. But now it's definitely harder. It trips me out to think how big the baby is getting. I feel him squirming around my entire belly. :)

So I've been thinking, why is that everyone always tells you not to buy a lot of maternity clothes? And what exactly constitutes "a lot" of clothes? I grew out of my non-preggo shirts very early on because they weren't long or flowy. So I bought a few shirts. I think it was maybe 4 or 5. I also have 1 pair of maternity jeans [ok 2, but my gap ones shrunk after getting washed and they're tight now], 1 maternity black pant, and 2 maternity khakis [but they don't count...i'll tell you why]. But now I am finding it sooooo hard to figure out what the hell to wear to work everyday! I'm wearing the same shirts and it's getting pretty friggin hard to get creative.

I gave in and bought 4 new shirts from Old Navy. I bought em online [as the store sucks]. I love all the shirts, but now I find them a bit dressy for work. I mean I use to come in in jeans and a sweatshirt! But I figure, who cares if they're dressy. I should look cute right now. So I'm starting to wear them to work. I also tend to wear my jeans almost everyday. So now I feel I need a second pair [especially since I think I got a defective pair at Old Navy because the elastic is ripping]. But then I get grief for buying more maternity clothes. Sure I'm only gonna be pregnant for 3 more months, but wearing the same shit everyday is getting old! It sucks!

Oh! And the khakis you ask? Well I bough those a month back. I left them at my moms so she could shorten them for me because they were super long as they didn't come in length size. So she finally has and I tried them on today and they fit tight! I mean super tight. Waist, legs, ass. Sucks! I can't return these anymore! I mean sure, khakis stretch a bit and tend to mold to your body, but I seriously doubt they will stretch to the next size up. *sigh* I've obviously gone thru my 2nd sideways expansion. :((

So my question is....how much maternity clothes did you buy or plan on buying?

Please help me justify my next maternity wardrobe update. :-p OMG! And if I grow more....which is very likely obviously...will I need bigger clothes? Oh dear God, please spare me.

19 weeks

We're growing! Been feeling pretty good these days. Except for that bit of insomnia Saturday night. Baby G has been moving a lot this week. I'm hoping soon I'll be able to feel it with my hand so that G can feel it too.

One thing that I'm trying to not get concerned about is this crazy pressure I've been feeling on the lower part of my belly. I've been feeling pressure at the front of my belly/uterus. A bit down low. I started feeling it two nights ago and again yesterday, and I totally noticed it changed my center of gravity. I felt like I was being pulled forward or downward by it. It's weird. Anyone feel this ever? I've been feeling it today too throughout the day. No pain...just an uncomfortable feeling. I haven't noticed any pattern, but wouldn't it be too early for braxton hicks contractions? I hope so. I'll definitely monitor and if anything changes call my doc.

On Saturday I'll be 20 weeks. Half way there! I can't believe how fast time is flying by now. I had a bit of concern yesterday because I hadn't really felt like planning or getting ready for this baby. I don't know why, but I just haven't been all over the whole registering and picking out names and such. Feels like it's so far away till we need this stuff. We will probably have more than one shower so I have to do this. But I feel so much pressure to choose. It's crazy! I've never felt this way. Like the name thing. It's killing me. The pressure on actually naming a person. I mean I've been thinking up baby names forever, but now it's so real it's scares me. I kept freaking out at the randomest things. So not like me. I think that after our "big ultrasound" next week I'll start to feel different. Maybe more excited and willing to start planning ahead. Especially if we are lucky enough to see our baby's "goods" and find out what we're having. Can't wait for next Thursday!

Random thoughts continued...

- Looking at the floating baby on the right of this page, and I can't believe how big it's getting! I mean it looks totally human now. So cool to think that's happening in my belly.

- I'm getting girl scout cookies!!!! I now owe my first born to my forever BFF Jackie. Take good care of my little one! ;)

- I sported my growing belly in a Lakers jersey last night at the game. Good times.

- We didn't get DirectTV [stupid apt building] but we have cable and a shiny new HDTV.

- I think I felt the baby kick me for the first time today. It was just a stronger feeling than before. Like a jab to my belly. These maternity jeans are too tight when I sit :( and I think baby is po'd it's taking up his/her's precious space.

- I have a new belly pic! I'll upload tomorrow.

- I've been neglecting this blog because I'm giving my love to my non-baby blog. I don't know how it's gonna be when i have more than one kid....sorta scares me.

- I think a giant piece of chocolate cake I had Saturday kept me up all night. I had insomnia till somewhere in the 4am hour. It was horrible! Made me all emotional and G had to suffer thru it too. Thanks babe for staying awake with me!

Baby is moving!

OMG! I had about 1/4 of a coke at my mom's house at lunch time because I started feeling really nauseous. About 5 minutes later I started feeling a lot of movement on my left side and it hasn't stopped. It is so much stronger than what I felt before. I know I have felt this maybe once or twice, but was never sure if it was the baby, but today I am so sure! It's crazy! I'm so excited that this phase is starting.

I have some belly shots to post, but I have to plug in my camera and all that. So I'll do it later in a new post. :)

I heart Cocoa Krispies

I don't know why I just spent the last 30 min reading my posts from my miscarriage. I don't know. I felt so sad...for me. But then I felt baby G move again and I snapped out of it. Baby G has been so active this morning! The most ever. I keep feeling something brush up against me from the inside. It's an interesting feeling. I don't feel any kicks yet, but a lot of this. I was telling Cat that it feels like when you hold a fish in a bag, and you put your hand on the side of the bag and the fish swims up against it. It's that same feeling! When I tell G this, he might just put Buddy [our fish] in a bag and try to feel it. :) It's such a comforting feeling to feel something every day now. We haven't even used our doppler since Sunday.

Yesterday, after my horrible morning & afternoon with bad morning sickness that kept me home from work, I had my first official craving - chocolate. Which is weird since I don't even crave chocolate when AF is in town! I don't crave chocolate period. So I knew this was an "official craving." I remembered we had Skinny Cow ice cream sandwiches [Yum-O!] in the freezer, so I had one of those. But that didn't even dent my craving. So I asked G if we still had Reece's Mini Peanut Better Cups, we did and I had two. Still....nothing. So this whole time I couldn't stop thinking about Cocoa Krispies! Then G had some cereal and I started giving him the guilt trip with my, "wish I could eat some cereal." I had finished my milk the day before [I drink Lactaid]. And I was telling him how I could really go for some Cocoa Krispies and some Jello chocolate pudding. After 5 min of me dropping hints G finally got it. So he went to the grocery store to get me milk, Cocoa Krispies, and Jello chocolate pudding. I have a small bowl of the best cereal ever [ I haven't even had this cereal since like High School!] and then a pudding cup. Best dessert ever! I think I'm done with chocolate though. ;)

You should have seen how giddy G was at the thought that I was finally having cravings. I think cravings are like a "real" pregnancy symptom to him. Good thing too, woulda sucked if he didn't want to go to the grocery store in the middle of LOST!! But he really didn't mind. Thanks babe!

16 weeks 4 days

I received my diaper bag yesterday and I LOVE IT! It's huge and has tons of space. I'm really glad I got it. G liked it too.

So now that I'm in my 17th week, I'm totally feeling the baby more. It's not kicks or anything, just more of the flutters and bubbles feeling I was already feeling. Sometimes it almost feels like something rubbed against my skin, but from the inside! It's so weird but cool. I feel it a lot in the morning when I'm sitting at my desk.

On the not so bright side, I still have morning sickness!!!! And it returned full force this week. Sucks. I actually threw up at work yesterday for the first time. I threw up twice in the morning yesterday, which I had never done! I'm really losing hope that this will ever go away. Also on this not so bright side, more stretch marks!! ARGH! I need to just accept them, but it sucks because they turn red within a day.
