Baby is moving!

OMG! I had about 1/4 of a coke at my mom's house at lunch time because I started feeling really nauseous. About 5 minutes later I started feeling a lot of movement on my left side and it hasn't stopped. It is so much stronger than what I felt before. I know I have felt this maybe once or twice, but was never sure if it was the baby, but today I am so sure! It's crazy! I'm so excited that this phase is starting.

I have some belly shots to post, but I have to plug in my camera and all that. So I'll do it later in a new post. :)

I heart Cocoa Krispies

I don't know why I just spent the last 30 min reading my posts from my miscarriage. I don't know. I felt so sad...for me. But then I felt baby G move again and I snapped out of it. Baby G has been so active this morning! The most ever. I keep feeling something brush up against me from the inside. It's an interesting feeling. I don't feel any kicks yet, but a lot of this. I was telling Cat that it feels like when you hold a fish in a bag, and you put your hand on the side of the bag and the fish swims up against it. It's that same feeling! When I tell G this, he might just put Buddy [our fish] in a bag and try to feel it. :) It's such a comforting feeling to feel something every day now. We haven't even used our doppler since Sunday.

Yesterday, after my horrible morning & afternoon with bad morning sickness that kept me home from work, I had my first official craving - chocolate. Which is weird since I don't even crave chocolate when AF is in town! I don't crave chocolate period. So I knew this was an "official craving." I remembered we had Skinny Cow ice cream sandwiches [Yum-O!] in the freezer, so I had one of those. But that didn't even dent my craving. So I asked G if we still had Reece's Mini Peanut Better Cups, we did and I had two. Still....nothing. So this whole time I couldn't stop thinking about Cocoa Krispies! Then G had some cereal and I started giving him the guilt trip with my, "wish I could eat some cereal." I had finished my milk the day before [I drink Lactaid]. And I was telling him how I could really go for some Cocoa Krispies and some Jello chocolate pudding. After 5 min of me dropping hints G finally got it. So he went to the grocery store to get me milk, Cocoa Krispies, and Jello chocolate pudding. I have a small bowl of the best cereal ever [ I haven't even had this cereal since like High School!] and then a pudding cup. Best dessert ever! I think I'm done with chocolate though. ;)

You should have seen how giddy G was at the thought that I was finally having cravings. I think cravings are like a "real" pregnancy symptom to him. Good thing too, woulda sucked if he didn't want to go to the grocery store in the middle of LOST!! But he really didn't mind. Thanks babe!

16 weeks 4 days

I received my diaper bag yesterday and I LOVE IT! It's huge and has tons of space. I'm really glad I got it. G liked it too.

So now that I'm in my 17th week, I'm totally feeling the baby more. It's not kicks or anything, just more of the flutters and bubbles feeling I was already feeling. Sometimes it almost feels like something rubbed against my skin, but from the inside! It's so weird but cool. I feel it a lot in the morning when I'm sitting at my desk.

On the not so bright side, I still have morning sickness!!!! And it returned full force this week. Sucks. I actually threw up at work yesterday for the first time. I threw up twice in the morning yesterday, which I had never done! I'm really losing hope that this will ever go away. Also on this not so bright side, more stretch marks!! ARGH! I need to just accept them, but it sucks because they turn red within a day.

My Funny Valentine

Well baby, today I gave a vile of blood [triple-screen test] so that it could be checked to see that you are a-ok. Crossing my fingers that no funny "abnormalities" come up.

As for v-day, we aren't celebrating this year. I told G that I'd rather be taken out to dinner and given flowers "just because." Plus, money is tight right now. It's a lot more special that way. Although I did ask that we go out for ice cream at 21 Choices in Old Town - my favorite!

Baby Geefunk I have a confession

I have made my first BIG baby purchase for you! I debated and debated all day long. But at the end it was too much of a steal not to buy. I had been coveting the Petunia Pickle Bottom diaper bags, but they were pretty pricey. But today I came across a magical link that made you 60% off!!! The bag went from retail $160 to $55!!! How could I not jump on that?

Oh baby geefunk...you'll love it! Whether you're a boy or girl. It's so cute! Can't wait to see it in person. :) :)

Breakfast of champions!

No, I'm not talking about Wheaties. I'm talking about the slice of pizza I had for breakfast! YUM-O! But now I feel totally guilty about it and I can't stop thinking that I shouldn't have had it. But it looked so good and tasted even better! So to make up for it, now I'm eating some sliced up strawberries and banana. This is seriously just as good if not better. And now I'm seriously craving some cherries from the guy selling them by the freeway exit. I think I'm gonna go hunt him down later.

Yesterday I noticed that I kept referring to our baby as "the kid" or "this kid." I think it shows just how non maternal I am. No....that's not it. I'm kidding. I just can't say "my baby" or "our baby." I'm not that mushy mushy. I am ridiculously happy about all of this, but I don't know. I can't even think of how to say it. I mean when I'm alone, I have been known to talk to our baby. And I say "baby." I don't say, "Hey. Whats up kid." But when it comes to conversations with other people I always find my self saying things like "When I pop out this kid..." "This kid already...."

Well for some reason it started to bother me yesterday. Why can't I say "baby" around others? I think every day is still totally new for us....well me. It's crazy that I'm pregnant! Hello?!?!?! 15 weeks in and I still stare at my belly in amazement. "Holy crap! Look at my belly! Oh yeah....I'm pregnant." Like....really? This is really happening? Quick! Some one pinch me!

Pregnancy is some crazy thing. Pretty fucking cool too. You know...aside from the puking and stuff . :)

long time no post...

Finally taking a minute to update. I get super dizzy working on the computer that I have to limit myself to very little internet time.

I'll be 15 weeks tomorrow. Exciting! On Tuesday we used the doppler and the baby flipped sides! We use to pick up the heart beat on my right side on now it's on the left. I swear I felt the baby move that very afternoon. I was sitting at my desk at work and felt the flutters. It was definitely not gas! Once I realized the baby was on the other side, I knew it was the baby I felt that afternoon. I can't wait till I can for sure feel this baby. The heart beat was the strongest it's been. Sounded loud and clear. It was around 150-155 bpm.

As far as morning sickness goes....I still got it. :( This week I've thrown up 4 out of the 5 work days. All in the morning. I'm gonna try eating crackers again. Eating them right when I wake up. I've also continued to feel nauseous throughout the day. It hasn't helped that the last 3 days I've had a pounding sinus headache. But so far today I haven't gotten the afternoon headache [knocking on wood].

I've been inspecting my belly and I'm growing. I'm sorta scared that I'm showing so early. I just hope I don't blow up to a super uncomfortable stage in those summer months. Sure I also have like no torso. I am only 5'2". So the baby really has no where to go. And the fact that G was such a huge baby is really scary. I think he weighed almost 10lbs! Yikes! And you know what else comes with growth? Stretch marks! ARGH! I apparently have zero elasticity in my skin! This sucks ass! I am gonna have one of those nasty spider bellies! Oh well. Whatcha gonna do. Yeah so I already have a couple stretch marks around my belly button. And I know no lotion/oil will make a difference. Same thing happened with my sister and no matter what she used the stretch marks kept on coming!

I took my first belly pic yesterday and you can really see my belly. Check it out. This is me trying to suck it in! Can you believe it??? I can't. Maybe there's some bloating, but I don't feel it. I mean it's almost sticking out more than my boobs! OMG and my boobs! I've gone up almost 2 full cups! Scary! Oh yeah - and I did chop off my hair and dye it [in case you noticed]. I Don't plan to go back to the salon for a long time so I dyed it closer to my natural color. Which isn't black btw. But my hairdresser did it black anyway [right after she told me she loved my natural chocolate brown color. Go figure]. The darkness is growing on me.

This post is long enough!
